PROCESSOR ROLL CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
To facilitate the processor rolls adjustment to obtain the desired silage quality (Figure 80):
1.
Adjust the roll spacing to position 2 shown on the decal (item 1). Each level represents a 3mm (1/8po)
additional clearance. Level 2
6mm (1/4in).
2.
Harvest over several tens of meters (few hundred feet), then check the silage obtained.
3.
Depending the on level of processing desired, increase or reduce the clearance by half a mark (1.5mm) to start.
4.
Repeat steps 2 and 3) until the required result is obtained.
NOTE: A larger clearance requires less tractor power. For the best efficiency, maintain the largest gap possible that
provides the proper processing or corn cracking.

HEADER OR FEEDROLL OVERLOAD
In case of plugging or jamming of the header or the feedrolls, the overload protection clutch on the F-R transmission
(Figure 81, item 1) will slip and emit a warning sound. Similarly, a blockage in the header will make its overload
clutch (friction or radial ball clutch) slip and cut the power transmission.
