PPPoE:
PPPoE is an acronym for point-to-point protocol over Ethernet, which relies on two
widely accepted standards: PPP and Ethernet. PPPoE is a specification for connecting the
users on an Ethernet to the Internet through a common broadband medium, such as a
single DSL line, wireless device or cable modem. PPPOE IP address refers to IP address
assigned through the PPPoE mode.
If you choose PPPoE, you need to fill in to fill in the following information:
Username: the account name of PPPoE, offered by ISP.
Password: the password of PPPoE, offered by ISP.
Server Name: the name of the server where PPPoE is placed, offered by ISP.
Notes:
If DHCP is selected to obtain IP address, please ensure DHCP server in the network works
normally.
When the device works under the route mode, the IP address of LAN port and that of WAN port
cannot be at the same network segment, otherwise the device can’t work normally.
When the device works under the route mode, log in the device’s web configuration interface via
the LAN port.
After the configurations are completed, please restart the device for the configurations to take
effect.
