Set the On/Off switch for the abrasives to position

Set the On/Off switch for the cooling water to position

(ON).

Lower the circular blade onto the grinding wheel and apply
light pressure.
The circular blade immediately rotates automatically as a result of
the relative movement to the rotating grinding wheel. If this does
not happen, lift the circular blade again immediately and adjust the
settings.

Continue sharpening until a burr has formed on the circumfer-
ence of the blade.

Repeat the grinding on the other side on circular blades with
a symmetrical bevel. To do this, remove the circular blade
from the special clamping device, rotate it and mount it again.
Deburr the circular blade after sharpening it.

Lower the grinding arm slightly. Place the circular blade on the
grinding wheel while applying very little pressure to the grind-
ing lever. The circular blade rotates. Remove the burr by alter-
nately placing a sharpening steel on both sides of the cutting
edge at an angle of 15°-20°.

Grinding hand knives and cleavers
Machine hand knives and cleavers on the wet grinding belt and
polishing wheel.
NOTE
Dirty knives can irreparably damage the grinding belt and
polishing wheel. The surfaces can heat with long-term use.
• Only grind clean tools.
