14. Maintenance of the Coag 2D

14.1 Cleaning the Measuring Unit

Remove any reagent or sample that has spilled onto the measuring unit

immediately with a paper towel dipped in water mixed with a chemically

neutral antiseptic washing agent, then make sure it is wiped completely

dry. Perform the same procedure if the reagent holding container is con-

taminated as well.

The measurement wells may only be cleaned with cotton buds slightly

dampened with distilled water, and the incubation positions may only be

cleaned with cotton buds soaked in water mixed with a washing agent.

Leave the unit to dry in heated position for at least ten minutes after clea-

ning and before starting measurements.

14.2 Cleaning the Screen

Clean the screen with a cleaning agent or commercially available LCD

screen wipes.

14.3 Cleaning the Housing

Power off and unplug the instrument, then clean its housing and its power

supply with a towel soaked in water mixed with a chemically neutral wa-

shing agent.

Do not clean the measuring unit with a solution that

contains sodium-hypochlorite or any other caustic

agent.

Opening the housing of the instrument and/or the

power supply may cause malfunction or electrocution.

Only skilled personnel may service the device.
