Observe axial length measurements to be 12.60 mm +/
-
0.1 mm. Readings outside these
limits do not necessarily indicate the device is out of calibration. If an erroneous reading is
obtained, verify that the following fault conditions are not present and repeat the
measurements on the reference test block:
A.
Ensure excessive water is not on the reference test block. During the test mode, the
algorithm does not preclude measurement of tear film as it does during normal
operation. Therefore, if excessive water was placed on the reference block, the water
depth may be measured causing longer axial length measurements.
B.
The reference test block is sensitive to temperature. The block must be
stabilized at 72°F ±10°F before measurements are taken.

If the reference block readings are outside the limits stated, it is possible that the unit
is defective and needs repair. Refer to the
Repairs and Customer Support
section (below)

If shipping a device to for service or repair, the battery must be disabled. To disable the battery,
use a pick to slide the battery disable switch to the
“
Off
”
position. Refer to the
Initial Setup and
Enabling / Disabling The Battery
section for information on enabling/disabling the device
battery.

Device contains a Lithium Ion battery. Improper service/replacement of the
battery may cause damage to the device, excessive temperatures, fire or explosion. The
Lithium Ion battery is only to be serviced/replaced by qualified service personnel.
