EXPORTING AND IMPORTING DATA
Individual measurement and video files can be exported and imported from the database to be
consulted in other locations or by other practitioners. The Scanmate software must be installed
on a computer to view measurement or video files.
EXPORT A

SCAN MEASUREMENT FILE
Select
File > Export > A
-
Scan Measurements
. The measurements currently in the measurement
bank will be saved as a .meas file.

SCAN VIDEO
Select
File > Export > A

Scan Video
. The images currently in the video buffer will be saved as
a .vdo file. Alternatively, an .avi file (which can be opened on most PC media applications) can be
exported by using the top menu bar and selecting
File > Export > A

Scan Video (AVI).

SCAN/UBM IMAGE
Click the
[OPEN FILE]
icon to display saved images associated with the patient, and then drag

and

drop the thumbnail onto the desktop or into the appropriate folder. The image will be saved
in a .jpeg format.

SCAN/UBM VIDEO
Select
File > Export > B

Scan File
. The images currently in the video buffer will be saved as a
video file. The user can choose to save in .bscan and .avi file formats. Alternatively, an .avi file
(which can be opened on most PC media applications) can be exported by using the top menu
bar and selecting
File > Export > B

icon to display saved reports associated with the patient, and then drag

open. The opened file will replace any information currently in the patient data fields and the

File > Import > B

. A browser window will open. Select the desired video file to
open. The user can choose to import .bscan, .bs and .cini files. The opened file will replace any
information currently in the patient data fields and the video buffer. The opened file can be
saved into the database at this point.
Legacy B
-
Scan files do not contain all the necessary information to be included in the DGH
-
Scanmate database. When attempting to import a legacy file, a dialog window will open
requesting additional information when importing these file types. Select the Patient that you
would like to associate the imported file with. If the desired patient is not shown, select
[CANCEL]
and add the patient to the database. Verify that the Eye (OD or OS) and the Scan Date
are correct and select
[IMPORT]
.
