6.1 Cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization

17. Dry the entire outer surface of the sleeve as well as the inner
section around the plug using a soft lint-free cloth. Ensure that no
fluid is able to penetrate the inside of the sleeve.
18. Store the sleeve in such a way that it is protected from
contamination until the next use.
19. Remove the white protective sleeve from the scanner head before
use.
20. Carefully re-attach the sleeve and allow it to lock in place (see
"Attaching the sleeve [→ 52]"). Hold the scanner in other places, not
just on the sleeve in order to prevent it from falling.
