Checking the trimming tool
Trimmer line head
For safety reasons, check the trimming tool before starting the engine. Using the grass trimmer
with a worn, broken or otherwise damaged trimmer head may result in injuries and property
damage. Trimmer head thrown by the tool may hit the user or third party resulting in death or
serious injuries.
Always wear heavy protective gloves when turning the head or carrying out any other
operations near the trimming tool.
1. Stop the engine and set ignition switch to “OFF” (Fig. 4).
2. Check if the head is not loose.
Tighten carefully as necessary.
If the problem persists, please contact the service centre.
3. Check if the nylon trimmer line is not
frayed. If the trimmer line is damaged,
pull out the line.
The line is wound on the reel.
Pass through a portion of the line and rotate to wound a new portion.
Cutting blade
For safety reasons, check cutting blade for wear and damage and tighten as necessary before
use. Using grass trimmer with a worn, broken or otherwise damaged cutting blade may result
in injuries and property damage.
Worn, broken or damaged cutting blade may disintegrate and be thrown by the tool, hit the
user or third party resulting in death or serious injuries.
Always wear heavy protective gloves when turning the head or carrying out any other
operations near the trimming tool.
1. Stop the engine and set the ignition switch to “0” (Fig. 4).
2. Check if the blade fixing screw is tightened (Fig. 9).
Tighten as necessary.
Please contact the service centre if any assistance is required.
3. Check the cutting blade for wear, bents, cracks or any other damage.
If the cutting blade is worn, cracked, dented or otherwise damaged, replace it with a new
genuine cutting blade.
