• Fill the tank before starting the engine. Do not remove the petrol filler cap and do not fill
the tank with engine running or still hot.
• Do not start the engine near spills. Keep the tool away from the spill and take precaution
until the spill is removed and the vapour has evaporated.
• Replace the petrol filler cap and the petrol container cap and make sure they are closed.
• When starting the engine immediately after filling the tank, keep a distance of at least 3
meters from the filling site.
• Do not store the tool with the petrol tank filled in a room where the petrol vapours may
come in contact with sparks or open flame.
• Allow the engine cool down before storage.
• To reduce the risk of fire, store the engine and petrol in a room free from leaves, cut grass
and other flammable objects.
• If you need to drain the petrol from the tank, do it outside with the engine cold.
Carbon monoxide poisoning hazard
Exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide, a colourless and odourless gas. Inhaling exhaust
gases may cause you to lose consciousness or death.
• Using the tool in a closed or insulated room may result in hazardous concentration of
poisonous gases in the inhaled air. For your safety, keep the room well ventilated.
• Do not use in places, where the exhaust gas may accumulate.
WARNING LABELS
The grass trimmer must be used with suitable precautions. All warnings are presented in
form of pictographs and are clearly visible.
Warning labels are part of the tool. Do not remove any labels!
PREPARE AND
CHECK GRASS TRIMMER BEFORE USE
Before starting the engine for the first time, fit the tube shaft to the engine unit (Fig. 1).
Use 4 bolts (included).
To ensure safe and effective trimming, check the grass trimmer before each use.
Always check the device on an even, flat surface with the engine stopped. Make sure
the ignition switch is in OFF position.

Before you start
For safety and comfort fit the harness and balance the grass trimmer properly. Use the
harness clip to fasten the harness to the grass trimmer. (Fig. 2)
Adjust the harness and grass trimmer to a required height.
Check and tighten all bolts and nuts before use.
Petrol
Prepare the oil/petrol mix at 1:25 ratio (see Table on the petrol tank).
Petrol - use 95 RON petrol
Oil - use high quality engine oil for 2-stroke engines.
*Prepare only as much petrol mix as is needed.
*Do not use deteriorated oil/petrol mix.
*Do not leave the petrol in the tank for a prolonged period of time - always try to use all
the petrol in the tank.
STARTING THE ENGINE
Step 1. Use the petrol pump at the bottom of the carburettor to drawn in the petrol (Fig. 3).
Step 2. Set the choke lever in CLOSED position (top).
Step 3. Set the switch at the handle to “I” (Fig. 4).
Step 4. Pull the recoil starter rope.
After the engine starts, set the choke lever in OPEN position (bottom).
Set the switch to “0” to stop the grass trimmer (Fig. 4).
After starting, leave the engine running for 1-2 minutes at idle speed to warm up
before using the grass trimmer.
