Remember that after reducing the engine speed, the head will rotate for some time due to
inertia.
• When the blade rotates with the engine running at idle speed, the tool is not adjusted
properly or damaged. Contact the service centre or the supplier to adjust the carburettor or
check the tool.
• Periodically check bolts and nuts and general condition of the tool. Regular inspections
will ensure operator safety and guarantee long time failure-free operation.
• Do not use the tool if any components are damaged or worn.
Damaged parts must be replaced, not repaired. Use genuine spare parts only. Cutting blades
must be compatible with the tool model.
Use of incompatible parts may result in damage and affect your safety.
• Hold the grass trimmer with both hands using
handles, as shown in the figure.
During operation, there is always a risk that the
blade may bump from an obstacle.
Observe the following to keep the tool under
control.
- stand firmly on the ground,
- do not lean in any direction,
- do not lift the trimming tool above your knees,
- keep safe distance from all rotating or hot parts.

• Injuries due to vibration or cold:
You can experience pricking or burning sensation in your fingers or your fingers may turn
pale depending on your constitution. Those can be caused by vibrations or low
temperature. Observe the following guidelines:
- limit your daily activities,
- wear warm clothes, keep your hands, wrists and arms warm,
- take regular breaks, exercise your hands to ensure good circulation. Do not smoke.

if you feel unwell or your fingers swell or turn pale,
seek medical advice immediately.
• Injuries due to prolonged and frequent activities: regular and frequent use may cause
injuries. Observe the following symptoms to prevent risk of injuries:
- avoid holding the tool in an uncomfortable position, especially with your wrists in
incorrect position.
- take regular breaks to reduce repetitive strain.
Check your working time regularly.
- seek medical advice if your fingers, hands, wrists and/or arms hurt.
Children safety
• When using the tool, make sure the children are not playing outside unsupervised.
Children may appear suddenly and will be interested in the tool.
• Do not assume the children are where you left them. Be vigilant and stop the engine
immediately if you notice any children nearby.
• Do not let children operate the tool, even supervised.
Debris thrown by the blade
A debris may be thrown by the cutting blade at high speed and may cause serious injury or
damage.
• Check the mowed surface and remove any obstacles that may be thrown by the blade (e.g.
rocks, pieces of wood, metal or bones etc.).
Fire and self-ignition hazard
Petrol is highly flammable and its vapours may explode. Pay special attention when
handling the petrol. Keep the petrol out of the reach of children.
• Store the petrol in suitable containers.
• Fill the tank outdoors before starting the engine, do not smoke and do not use open flame
when filling the tank or handling the petrol.
