TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem
Indicator
Cause
Solution
1. No water coming out of the
faucet.
Sensor flashes continuously when
user’s hands are within the sensor’s
range.
Low battery.
Replace batteries.
Red light in the sensor does not
flash when user’s hands are within
the sensor’s range.
Battery is completely used up.
The battery must be replaced.
Red light in the sensor flashes when
user’s hands are within the sensor’s
range.
The sensor is picking up reflections
from a mirror or other objects.
Remove the cause of the reflection.
Connectors between the sensor and
solenoid are disconnected.
Connect the sensor connectors to the
solenoid.
Debris or scale in solenoid.
Refer to “Maintenance” instructions
on “Replacing the solenoid assembly
The water supply pressure is too high
(above 125 psi).
Reduce the water supply pressure
below 125 psi.
The water pressure in the faucet body
is higher than the supply pressure
(blockage within the faucet), which
causes the inlet check valves to lock
close.
Turn off the water supply at the shut-off
valve(s). Detach the supply hose(s) to
relieve the pressure in the faucet body.
2.
Water flow from spout does not
stop.
Red light in sensor flashes when
user’s hands are within the sensor’s
range.
Debris in diaphragm.
Replace the solenoid, refer to
“Maintenance” instructions on
“Replacing the solenoid assembly
Diaphragm is torn.
Replace solenoid, refer to
“Maintenance” instructions on
“Replacing the solenoid assembly
Red light in the sensor does not
flash when the user’s hands are
within the sensor’s range.
Sensor is dirty.
Clean sensor lens with soap and water.
Use of an abrasive may scratch the
sensor lens.
Sensor is obstructed.
Remove the cause of the obstruction.
Sensor is picking up reflections from
mirror or another object.
Remove the cause of the reflection.
3.
Water flow diminished.
Red light in sensor flashes when
user’s hands are within the sensor’s
range.
Filter is clogged.
Remove, clean and re-install in-line
filter(s).
Aerator is clogged.
Remove, clean and re-install aerator.
4. Buzzing noise.
Buzzing noise during operation.
Fit of solenoid components.
Ensure supply stop(s) are fully open.
Clean filter(s) per “Maintenance”
instructions on “Filter cleaning
instructions” on page 8.
Increase water pressure to faucet.
Dissassemble and reassemble
solenoid assembly. If problem persists,
replace solenoid as per “Maintenance”
instructions on “Replacing the solenoid
5. Side mixing handle movement.
Side mixing handle is stiff or feels
gritty during operation.
Not enough o-ring lubrication.
Refer to “Maintenance” instructions
on “Side mixer cleaning instructions
Metal filings inside mixing handle
assembly.
