Fan Assembly Tray
The system includes a fan assembly tray containing six fans. The fans can be removed as an assembly or individually.
Removing the Fan Assembly Tray
1.
Remove the back cover (see "
Removing the Back Cover
" in "Troubleshooting Your System").
2.
Remove the front cover (see "
Removing the Front Cover
" in "Troubleshooting Your System").
3.
Using the fan assembly tray handles, lift the assembly straight up to clear the chassis (see
Figure 6
-1
).
Replacing the Fan Assembly Tray
1.
Align the alignment tabs with the slots in the chassis (see
Figure 6
-1
).
2.
Lower the fan assembly tray into the chassis.
3.
Ensure that the fans are fully seated.
4.
Replace the front cover (see "

" in "Troubleshooting Your System").
5.
Replace the back cover (see "
Replacing the Back Cover
" in "Troubleshooting Your System").

Ensure that the memory riser card handles and the peripheral riser card handles are in the closed position before installing the fan assembly
tray.
