Removing the drive bay 1 backplane
Prerequisites
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the drives and backplane, remove the drives from the system before removing the
backplane.
CAUTION:
Note the number of each drive and temporarily label them before you remove the drive so that you can
replace them in the same location.
NOTE:
Ensure that the drive bay is fully open to access the backplane.

Steps
1. Using Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove all the screws securing the backplane.

2. Hold the backplane by the edges and remove it from the bay.
