ON-BOARD ETHERNET INTERFACE
For Ethernet models, the on-board Ethernet Interface can be used for TCP/IP communi-
cation with a remote or local host computer by connecting the reader to either a LAN or
directly to a host PC. There is no need to use a crossover adapter since Matrix 120™
incorporates an auto-cross function.

cable can be used to connect to a LAN.
On the Matrix 120™ on-board Ethernet interface the following communication channels
are available:

UDP Channel
•
FTP Client
The following Fieldbus protocols are also available over the on-board Ethernet inter-
face:

EtherNet/IP
•
PROFINET IO
•
Modbus TCP Client
