Design features
The lower leg / foot orthosis is available in five sizes with a universal fit for
right and left.
The shoe can be customized to the left or right foot by individually adjust-
ing the hook and loop straps. The lower leg / foot orthosis consists of the
following components: One shoe (Relief Dual® Plus | Off-loading shoe with
high ankle support), a splint (Relief Insert® 2.0 | Splinting System) with a
grey air liner and integrated pump and a blue lining (consists of a forefoot
strap, front and calf liner). The Relief Insert® Walker 2.0 Achill also includes
heel wedges (DAW | DARCO Achilles Wedges).
The splinting system is used to position the lower leg / foot. In addition,
a walker can be assembled from the splinting system using a therapeutic
shoe to immobilise the lower leg / foot with simultaneous mobilisation.
The exchangeable insole enables patients to individually adjust the fit.

There is a risk of thrombosis due to the restricted ankle movement.
Caution
There is a risk that the orthosis (splint) may break if the load is too
heavy. Max. permitted load: 150 kg. The air chambers must not be over
inflated to prevent pressure points on the leg and to prevent the air cham-
bers from bursting. The air liner with pump cannot be washed.
