1. Connect the green angled connector (16) with the installation bushing (18) hand-tight.
2. Fit the battery holder (19) with mit 8xAA alkali manganese 1.5 V batteries. Connect the battery holder cable with the battery connector (21) in the
control. The display will flash briefly.
3. Attach the battery holder horizontally below the transformer (20) (black block) onto the transparent cover.
4. Attach and close the electronics cover (17).
5. Plug the power plug into the outlet. When the installation and initial operation are correct, the "Power" and "Battery" display will flash.
Malfunction and function messages, see Chapter 7
Note:
9. Swipe the protective cover (22) for the protection of the plug connections over the engine housing.
Improper connection with interchanged wires may lead to the destruction of the sensor (14) or malfunctions. We are not liable in the event of
gross-negligence! Checking the sensor function (misting) and tightness of the emergency (2) and operating closure (1) is described under maintenance
(Chapter 9).
Do not open the plumbed screws on the engine cover; otherwise, the warranty will be void!
Note:
7. Operation
7.1 Backwater
When backwater occurs, the Stausafe will be closed. The "Closed" display, acoustic signal and potential-free will thereby be activated cyclically.
Confirmation of the acoustic signal and potential-free contact
Pressing the multi-function button (1x2 seconds) can be used to deactivate the acoustic signal and potential-free contact. The visual display remains.
The green LEDs for power and batteries must always flash and the sound is switched off. A malfunction may exist in the event of deviations from this
uninterrupted normal operation (see Chapter 7.2.2).
7.2 Malfunctions
7.2.1 No backwater "CLOSED" LED / sound activated
The cause may be a plugged pipe. When the drain is not open, the backwater will back up and the Stausafe F will close.
Please pull the sensor out to prevent a possible malfunction on the device. If the device opens after a short delay, a blockage is probably present.
De-energize or disconnect the system from power before opening the housing cover!
Note:
In this case, remove the housing cover and drain line. If the "CLOSED" error message appears even though the drain line
appears to be free, there is a strong probability that a partial blockage is present. This may cause a periodic start-up of the
drive. Clean the waste water line to eliminate this malfunction.
6. Function check
7. Briefly press the multi-function button (9) with a pen or small screwdriver through the water protection plug (11) (max. 2 sec.).
The "CLOSED" display and acoustic signal are responding. The closure flap closes and re-opens.
8. Following the error-free function check, the "CLOSED" display and acoustic signal will be switched off again.
Note:
Malfunction and function messages, see Chapter 7
The function check must be repeated monthly!
