5.1 Installation of Stausafe F DN 100/125/150
Do not reach into the pipe ends during installation and service work! Crushing hazard!
Note:
The installation location for the Stausafe F must be selected so that all drain points at risk of backwater are protected. Observe a rest period of at least 1 m
before and after the backwater closure. Facilities above the backwater may only be drained using the Stausafe in extraordinary cases (e.g. building
rehabilitation). It must hereby be ensured that the facilities will not be used in the event of backwater. No rain water may be routed through the backwater
closure. The functional parts that are provided on the integrated backwater closure for service work must be accessible and it must be possible to run the
functional check according to DIN 1986-3. An ambient temperature of
≥
0 °C must be ensured when the backwater closure is installed. The connection
cable may be extended. The maximum length is listed on Table 8.2 on page 8. Only an electrician can make the extension. Access to the backwater closure
and sensor (14) must be ensured (see maintenance and malfunction). It is absolutely necessary to install the backwater closure horizontally in the
longitudinal and also lateral direction.
5.2 Installing the control housing
The electronics housing (IP protection class, see Table 8.1) must be installed with cable connections facing down. This serves to prevent any splash water
from penetrating into the housing from the top. The electronics must be installed at a location in the building where it is easy to see in order to detect the
visual and audible warning signal in the event of backwater. The ambient temperature for the operation of the electronics must be between 0 °C and 40 °C.
Disconnect the control from power before opening the control housing!
Note:
5.3 Connection for building control (GLT) / potential-free connection
The electronics have a potential-free contact. This connection can be used for external alarms or building control.
The contact is passive, which means external voltage must be applied.
In the event of a malfunction, the potential-free contact (230 V/0.5 A) (3 seconds active, 17 seconds paused) activated.
For example, this may be used to forward the CLOSED signal for a lamp or horn.
1. Pull the power plug
2. Unscrew the housing cover for the electronics
3. Remove batteries
4. Remove the blind plug (yellow)
5. Connect a cable with the required cross-section of the consumer (2 wires)
6. Install the consumer
5. Installation
1. Drill holes into the wall
2. Open the cover of the
electronics housing (17)
3. Screw the electronics
housing to the wall
