Appendix E—COM COMMAND
ESS3016X internet intelligent storage device provides serial port Debug command for
administrator. It is to help you deal with some situation such as forgetting admin password or IP
address abnormal phenomena.
You can follow the steps listed below.
1).Connect ESS3016X device to serial port of PC or industrial computer.
2).Configure serial port terminal tools of PC (industrial computer).
3).Log in as “dh_admin” and then go to the debug command line interface.
4).Debug command operation
Here we introduce the step two to step four.

Log in as “dh_admin” and then go to the debug command line interface
After you finish setting in Figure 11-1, please click Enter button. Now system pops up a dialogue
box for you to input user name (dh_admin) and password (debug). You can see an interface is
shown as in Figure 11-1. It is a debug command line interface.

In Figure 11-2, you can see Debug command line provides five command operations:
Input “help” after “DEBUG>”, you can see Debug command list.
Debug command lien provide five command operations:

Display corresponding information about Debug command. Command format:
help.
netshow
: Here you can view current IP address, command format:
netshow
.
netset
: Reset system IP address. Command format:
netset, IP address, subnet mask.
adminpwdse
t: Restore factory default password (888888888888). Command format:
adminpwdset
.
reboot
: Reboot system. Command format:
reboot
.
Please note, reset system IP address command “netset” consists of two command parameter: IP
address and subnet mask. There is no gateway parameter. You need to go to web interface to
set system default gateway.
