8. AIR CLEANER CLOGGED WARNING
LIGHT
When this light turns "ON," dirt has built up
in the air filter and is beginning to restrict
flow of air. Clean or replace air filter before
continuing to operate machine. To turn
indicator light "OFF," turn starter switch
"OFF" and then back "ON."
9. ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE
WARNING LIGHT
If engine coolant overheats, this light will
turns "ON" and an alarm will sound. If light
turns "ON," reduce engine speed until
coolant temperature drops. Do not turn
engine "OFF" because this will cause
coolant temperature to rise and may cause
engine to siege due to heat surge.
10. ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WARNING
LIGHT
When starter switch is in "ON" position,
this red light should "ON." When engine is
running this red light should turn "OFF." If
light remains "ON" when engine is running,
an alarm will sound. This means that
engine oil pressure has fallen below a safe
level. Never allow engine to run if this light
is "ON." Serious engine damage will result.
Investigate and repair cause of low oil
pressure before running engine.
11. BATTERY WARNING LIGHT
When starter switch is first turned to "ON"
position, this red light should turn "ON."
When engine is running this red light
should turn "OFF." If light remains "ON"
when engine is running, alternator is
defective.
