7.5. Call Features during a Call
7.5.1.Call Waiting
You can enable your phone to allow a second incoming call if you are already in a
call. When receiving a second incoming call, your phone would play the “Call
Waiting” beep along with the corresponding line LED glowing; and, a pop-up box
would appear asking you whether you want to accept or reject the call. You can
enable or disable the call waiting feature as explained in the Call Features section.
7.5.2. Switch between Calls
If you are in two simultaneous calls, you can switch between them by tapping the
hook-flash or by entering the HOLD key sequence (*1).
7.5.3.Call Hold
While in conversation, tapping the hook-flash will put the other party on hold. You
can enter the HOLD sequence (*1) for the same purpose. You can resume the
conversation by tapping the hook-flash again or entering HOLD sequence (*1) in
the phone number field of Manual Dial screen. The appropriate status messages
would be displayed on the main screen.
Note: When you are in two calls and you go into on-hook state, i.e. the handset
is on the cradle and, speaker is in off state, then the “Ring” tone will be played
along with the pop-up box on the OSD to remind you that you have put the call in
hold state. If you do not answer the call, then the call would be terminated.
7.5.4.Call Transfer
GVC - 3000 supports both BLIND (UNATTENDED) and ATTENDED (SUPERVISED)
Transfer.
