Already in Call:
If you are already in a call then to make a second call you will have to tap
the hook-flash ( press and release the hook in quick succession ) to get the
manual dial screen. This shall place the first call on hold and open the manual
dial screen to initiate second call.
The “
dial
” tone would be played at this moment and the corresponding line
LED would be light up. The moment you press one of the keys in the
alphanumeric keypad, you will no longer be able to hear the “
dial
” tone and
instead, you would be able to hear the “
DTMF
” tone of the digit you pressed.
You can place a call by entering the SIP URI or E.164 number of your
contact or the speed dial number that you have assigned to your contact.
a)
Dialing a SIP URI
:
i)
Phone No:
Destination SIP account number. For example, in
“[email protected]:5062” the phone number would be “user”.
ii)
Domain: Destination SIP server. For example, in
“[email protected]:5062”, the domain would be “sipserver.com”.
Note
that if this field is left empty, it is assumed that the destination that you
are trying to reach is registered with the same SIP server that you are
registered with. The sip server address and port would be used.
iii)
Port: For example, in “[email protected]:5062”, the port is 5062.
Note
that if this field is left empty, it is assumed that the port is 5060.
b)
Dialing an E.164 number
:
The “
Phone
no” field should contain the E.164
number (normal telephone number) that you wish to dial. For example, you
can dial the E.164 number in one of the following formats, i.e., +123-45-
1234567, or, +123451234567.
c)
Dialing a speed dial number
:
Dial Speed Dial Key sequence (*4) and the
speed dial number of your contact to place a speed dial call.
