8.3. SIP Configuration
(Settings → Sip Configuration)
SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is the Voice over Internet protocol that allows GVC
- 3000 to communicate with the calling/called destination and to receive incoming
calls.
SIP ID:
Typically the account number for the SIP account. For example, in
“[email protected]:5062” the SIP ID is “user”, provided by your VoIP service
provider. In most of the accounts, SIP ID shall be your phone number for others to
call you.
Display Name:
This name is displayed to other parties when they are connected to
you.
SIP Server:
For example, in “[email protected]:5062”, the domain is
“domain.com”, provided by your VoIP service provider
SIP Port:
For example, in “[email protected]:5062”, the port is 5062, provided by
your VoIP service provider. The default is 5060.
Press “
Next
” button to configure Advanced SIP details. You can at anytime press
“Back”
on the SIP Advanced Configuration screen to come back and re-configure.
