Appendix A - Climber Level to Speed Conversion
When you adjust the speed during a 800S Stepper workout, you're really adjusting the "level"
you have the stepper set to. While the stepping speed does increase as you raise the level,
there is not a direct relationship between the level number shown in the Progress Indicator
area and your vertical speed.
At lower levels, each level raises your speed by five feet per minute; at higher levels each level
represents a ten foot increase. The following chart shows the stepping speed for each level
setting you can use during a programmed workout. The lowest speed for each level is the
speed at a height of one on the workout; higher speeds are for the more difficult parts of the
program.
