How to detach or attach pressure packing
1
Detaching pressure packing
Pull the packing gradually by grabbing the outer part and stainless part of the clean cover.
(Wash it with a neutral detergent and a sponge.)
2
Attaching pressure packing
Insert the packing into the groove of the clean cover. As shown in the figure to the right,
turn the clean cover while pressing the inner and outer parts of the packing with both of
your thumbs.
-
If the packing is attached loosely to the clean cover, steam may escape, and cooking and
warming may not be performed properly. (Before attaching the pressure packing, be sure
to align the bumps of the packing with those of the clean cover. Refer to the p. 10.)
3
Checking the assembly status of pressure packing
Lay the clean cover on a clean place and push the inner and outer parts of the packing
with thumbs or index fingers while turning the packing.
(Check if the packing has a circular shape.)
Properly Assembled
Improperly Assembled
The packing has a circular shape.
If the packing does not have a circular shape, it is assembled
incorrectly. (It is easier to assemble right after washing the
packing.)
