Close the pocket using the knobs.
Firmly insert the hose on the squeegee body.
8.3 SQUEEGEE
Do not handle the squeegee with bare hands: wear
gloves and any safety clothing needed to carry out the
operation.
Detach the squeegee from the machine and clean it
under running water using a sponge or a brush.
Check and clean the solid dirt recovery compartment
and check the passages of the two suction hoses (inlet
and outlet). The hoses have two different diameters to
transfer the greater vacuum at ground level (small
diameter hose from the recovery tank to the inspection
compartment) and to prevent the coarse dirt that
unfortunately may be on the floor from rapidly clogging
the entire suction hose (large hose diameter from the
squeegee to the inspection compartment). Make sure
that the compartment cover is tightly closed af ter
cleaning: the machine may not dry efficiently if the cover
is not properly closed.
Check the efficiency and the wear on the strip s in
contact with the floor. They are designed to scrape the
film of detergent and water on the floor and to isolate
that portion of the surface to enhance the vacuum of
the suction motor: this ensures that the machine will
dry very efficiently. Working constantly in this manner
tends to round or to deteriorate the sharp edge of the
strip, thus reducing drying efficiently. This is why the
squeegee strips must be replaced.
To replace the worn straps, follow the instructions in
the relative section. Turn the straps around to wear
down the other sharp corners or to install new ones.
8.4 ACCESSORIES
Remove and clean the brushes or the scraper disks.
° To avoid damaging the floor and the machine,
carefully check if foreign matter, such as metallic parts,
screws, chips, cords or similar items, has become
jammed.
Check that the brushes are flat as they work on the
surface (check for any irregular wear on the brushes
or on the abrasive disks). If necessary, adjust the slant
of the action on the floor.
Use only the accessories recommended by the
manufacturer: other products may reduce operating
safety.
8.5 DETERGENT SOLUTION FILTER
Make sure that the detergent solution tank is empty.
Check and clean the solution filter located in the lower
rear part of the machine. Clean with running water if
necessary and check that the detergent solution is
being delivered on the brushes.
Fully tighten the filter to prevent leaks during operation.
8.6 MACHINE BODY
Use a sponge or a soft cloth to clean the exterior of the
machine and, if necessary, a soft brush to eliminate
tough dirt. The machine’s shockproof surface is rough
to make it harder to see scratches caused during use.
However, this does not make it easier to remove tough
stains on the surface. Steam machines can be used
but it’s prohibited to use hoses with running water or
a high-pressure cleaner.
8.7 BATTERIES
8.7.1 PB-ACID
Carry out maintenance operations in accordance with
the manufacturer’s instructions and with all the other
instructions provided in this manual.
Exposing the element plates (not completely immersed
in the acid solution) will lead to rapid oxidation and
irreparably reduce the element’s operating capacities.
An overflowing acid solution may corrode the machine.
Use battery chargers recommended by the manufacturer
and, in any case, those that are suitable for the type of
battery to be charged.
Always charge batteries in well-ventilated rooms: there
is an explosion risk!
The use of gel or maintenance-free batteries is highly
recommended.
8.7.2 GEL
Carry out maintenance operations in accordance with
the manufacturer’s instructions and with all the other
instructions provided in this manual.
Use only those battery chargers recommended by the
manufacturer.
8.8 FUSES AND THERMAL BREAKERS
The machine is equipped with electric protection devices
on the main operating component s to avoid costly
malfunctions. On the main electric board (on the front
of the machine) there are two pairs of general power
strip fuses (2 x 50A) that cut off the battery power supply
when a serious generic malfunction occurs.
The control panel elements are protected by a bayonet
fuse (16A). Instead, under the panel, there are three
manual reset thermal breakers (40A, 4A, 4A) that trip
(in order from top to bottom) when an overload occurs
on the brush motor (40A), on the squeegee lifting system
(4A), and on the brush unit lifting system (4A).
When one of these breakers trip s automatically, the
disabled function can be reactivated by fully depressing
the breaker that tripped.
When the thermal breakers trip, especially when the
machine is used during the first few weeks, it might not
be caused by actual machine malfunctions. However,
a specialised technician should check the device if the
relative breaker continues to trip.
8.9 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
For all the operations described herein, refer to the
instructions and detailed warnings in the relative sections.
8.9.1 DAILY OPERATIONS
Clean the solid dirt recovery compartment mounted on
the squeegee body.
Disassemble and check the brushes or the scraper
disks (with the abrasive disks mounted).
Check that there are no foreign bodies that may impede
the movement or efficiency of all cleaning parts.
Check the squeegee: clean the blades and check their
condition/wear.
If Pb-Acid batteries are used, carefully carry out the
operations described by the battery manufacturer.
Charge the batteries.
Conduzca la máquina a un lugar adecuado p ara el
vaciado del agua sucia, preferiblemente cerca de un
WC o de un desagüe (respete las reglas nacionales
para la eliminación de las aguas residuales).
Apague la máquina y quite la llave del panel de mandos.
Desacople el tubo de vaciado del gancho, y
manteniendo el tubo arriba, abra el tapón de cierre.
Baje el tubo de vaciado hacia el punto seleccionado.
La operación de vaciado puede interrumpirse
rápidamente si fuera necesario, simplemente levantando
el tubo de vaciado.
Compruebe la cantidad de suciedad que hubiera podido
quedar en el depósito, y si fuera necesario, lave el
interior del depósito a través de la apertura de
inspección. Para ello levante la tapa y el embudo situado
en la parte superior. A continuación coloque atentamente
el embudo dentro de la abertura de inspección y cierre
la tapa superior apretando los tres pomos de cierre
después de cada inspección/lavado.
Apriete fuertemente el tubo de vaciado con el t apón
de rosca y cuélguelo en el soporte situado detrás de
la máquina.
La tapa superior del depósito y el tapón del tubo
de vaciado deben estar perfectamente cerrados, sin
dejar el paso de aire, puesto que de otro modo se
tendrá una pérdida de depresión que causará un mal
secado del suelo.
7.6 REGULACIÓN DEL ASIENTO
Antes de regular el asiento asegúrese de que la máquina
esté apagada y de que la llave no esté en el t ablero
de mandos.
La posición del asiento del conductor puede regularse
si se desea.
Para cambiar la regulación del asiento, suelte la palanca
de bloqueo y desplace el asiento hast a la posición
deseada.
Finalizada la regulación, asegúrese de que la palanca
de bloqueo quede otra vez bien bloqueada.
Compruebe que el asiento esté en una posición estable
y fuertemente sujeto.
7.7 CONDUCCIÓN DE LA MÁQUINA
Seleccione la dirección de marcha deseada con la
palanca de Adelante/atrás.
Introduzca y gire la llave de contacto.
Suelte el freno de estacionamiento.
Pise suavemente, con el pie derecho, el pedal del
acelerador y conduzca la máquina hast a el lugar
deseado.
Una vez haya llegado al lugar deseado, suelte el
acelerador y ponga el freno de est acionamiento,
frenando con el pedal de la izquierda y activando la
palanca de bloqueo del pedal.
Apague la máquina y quite las llaves del t ablero de
mandos.
Se puede cambiar la dirección de marcha con la palanca
de delante/atrás, también mientras se está trabajando
con el pie sobre el acelerador.
7.8 MÉTODO DE TRABAJO
7.8.1 PREPARACIÓN Y ADVERTENCIAS
Libere la superficie que se ha de tratar (con instrumentos
adecuados como aspiradores, barredoras, etc.) de todo
residuo sólido libre. Si no se realiza est a operación
preliminar, la suciedad sólida podría impedir el correcto
funcionamiento del squeegee, que podría no secar
perfectamente.
Esta máquina debe ser conducida por personal
adiestrado para ello.
7.8.2 MANDOS DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
• Llave de contacto, para encender y apagar la máquina.
• Palanca de la dirección, para seleccionar la marcha
hacia delante o la marcha atrás.
• Regulador de velocidad, para seleccionar la velocidad
de avance máxima pisando el pedal hasta el fondo.
• Interruptor cepillo, para encender el motor de rotación
de los cepillos.
• Interruptor posición cepillos, para bajar hasta el suelo
(en posición de trabajo) o levantar del suelo (en posición
de reposo/desplazamiento) el grupo de cepillos.
• Interruptor aspiración, p ara encender el motor de
aspiración
• Interruptor posición squeegee, para bajar (en posición
de trabajo) o levant ar (en posición de
reposo/desplazamiento) el squeegee.
• Interruptor de emergencia, para interrumpir/ reanudar
todas las operaciones de trabajo programadas.
• Pedal de avance derecho, para accionar el movimiento
de la máquina.
• Pedal del freno izquierdo, para parar rápidamente el
avance de la máquina.
• Palanca de regulación del flujo de la solución, p ara
regular la cantidad (máxima hacia arriba, mínima hacia
abajo) de solución limpiadora deseada en el suelo.
• Control de la carga de la batería, la secuencia de
luces se apaga progresivamente hasta que se agota
la carga de la batería. Cuando se enciende la luz roja,
apague el motor de los cepillos, cierre el suministro de
la solución limpiadora, acabe de secar el pequeño resto
húmedo y diríjase hasta el lugar donde se encuentra
el cargador de baterías para recargar las mismas. Si
no se realizan est as operaciones, la máquina
desactivará automáticamente el motor cepillos y sólo
será posible efectuar el desplazamiento de la máquina.
Si en esta situación no detiene rápidamente la máquina,
se interrumpirán automáticamente todas las funciones,
y habrá que empujar la máquina manualmente p ara
desplazarla.
• Las baterías se pueden dañar irremediablemente
si el nivel de carga residua se reduce excesivamente
(véase el manual de uso de la batería), no fuerce la
descarga de la batería más allá de los límites fijados
por los dispositivos de seguridad, apagando y volviendo
a encender la llave o de ningún otro modo.
• Ante la duda de encontrarse en una situación
anómala, como poca potencia en la máquina sin que
hayan intervenido los dispositivos de seguridad de
parada, deténgase inmediat amente: siga las
indicaciones de la tabla para la localización de averías
y llame a un técnico especializado para comprobar los
dispositivos de control del vaciado.
7.8.3 LAVADO DIRECTO O PARA SUPERFICIES
LIGERAMENTE SUCIAS
