3.2 Checking the Battery Level
After switching the instrument ON with the reset button (Section 3.1), touch the LCD
screen to activate the multi-touch screen and OLED. If the OLED display does not
show a flashing power icon as shown in Section 0, the battery is discharged too far
and the instrument will not power up before sufficient battery charge level has been
obtained. When the instrument is connected to mains (see Section 6.2.1) and the
battery icon flash on the OLED the instrument battery level is below the operational
level. Wait until the battery disappears and the flashing power icon is visible on
touching the LCD screen.
The fast charge mode will require 2 hours to restore the battery to 100% state of
charge (instrument must be powered down). A maximum of 40 minutes charge time
is required to restore to the point where the instrument can be started. See Section
4.6 for a description of the battery status indicator that is visible once the instrument
is switched on.
The instrument will not power up until sufficiently charged (see
Section 4.6)
