In the first state, the two parallel vertical lines indicate that no position fix is
available. The second state, denoted by the hollow circle between the two
parallel vertical lines, indicates that the receiver is tracking four satellites or
more, and is computing an uncorrected position. This indicator is a symbol
representing a GPS satellite. The third state, denoted by the solid circle
between the two parallel vertical lines, indicates that the GPS receiver is
computing differentially corrected position solutions.

WAAS Lock Icon
When the DGPS MAX is configured to use WAAS correction information,
The DGPS MAX receiver will display the lock status on at the far right of
the top line of the display. The lock symbol illustrated in the following
figure remains in the ‘No WAAS Lock’ position until the receiver has
acquired the signal, at which point the receiver will display the ‘WAAS
Lock’ icon.
