Maximum Speed
(MAX)
The MAX trim potentiometer is used to set the maximum output frequency of the
drive. The maximum speed is factory set to full rated motor speed.
Refer to the following to set the MAX trim potentiometer to factory default.
• Rotate main potentiometer to maximum speed position (fully clockwise)
• Adjust MAX trim potentiometer to desired setting of motor speed.
Acceleration (ACC)
The ACC trim potentiometer sets the time it takes the motor to reach full speed
from an initial zero start. The trim potentiometer is preset at the factory to
approximately 1.5 seconds. The ACC trim potentiometer can be readjusted as
required.
ATTENTION
When the control is set for 50 Hz operation, the ACC trim potentiometer changes
automatically to adjustable acceleration and deceleration. Rapid acceleration may
cause the current limit circuit to activate. This automatically extends the
acceleration time.
Deceleration (DEC)
The DEC trim potentiometer sets the time it takes the motor to reach zero speed
from an initial full speed setting. The trim potentiometer is factory set to
approximately 1.5 seconds. The trim potentiometer can be readjusted as
required.
ATTENTION
When the control is set for 50 Hz operation, the DEC trim pot automatically
changes to Adjustable Boost.
Current Limit with l sq.
t Shutdown (CL)
The CL trim potentiometer is used to set the maximum motor current that occurs
in a stalled condition. The CL trim potentiometer is factory set to approximately
160% of full control rating (3.8 amps: 1/2 HP, 6.8 amps: 1 HP). The CL trim
potentiometer can be readjusted as required. The current limit also contains an l
sq. t trip function. The control trips according to a predetermined current versus
time function. The trip curve is directly related to the CL set point and is changed
with the CL trim potentiometer. The current limit with l sq. t shutdown is
designed to provide motor overload protection.
