Exhaust Vent Cleaning
Introduction
It is possible that some residue may form at the exit of the exhaust plenums.
Clean the plenums monthly — approximately every 170 hours of operation — to
prevent residue from obstructing air flow.
Flammable
Flammable Hazard. Do not perform this maintenance procedure when the Bravo™
8105 System is hot. Allow the internal oven temperature to cool below 70° C
(158°).
Procedure
The Exhaust Plenums are located at the Load and Unload Ends of the machine.
They are the openings that draw the air into the exhaust system for the Bravo™
8105. Refer to Figure 5–6. The Exhaust Plenum may need to be cleaned with
denatured alcohol. Inspect the plenum monthly until a cleaning regimen is
established.
To clean the Exhaust Plenum, spray denatured alcohol into the opening and let it
drip out onto a rag. Repeat the procedure until the residue is dissolved. Wipe
around the opening as far as possible.
ATTENTION
Because the ends of the hood are bolted to the frame, it is difficult to access the
exhaust plenums. Use a flexible hose to spray the denatured alcohol. Clean up
any drips or spills as soon as they exit the plenum.
