Cooling Zone Tray (Nitrogen Machine Option)
Introduction
The bottom of the Cooling Zone contains an interlocking tray of stainless steel to
serve as an air–block for the blowers. Inspect the tray monthly and clean if
residue or debris accumulates.
Procedure – Cleaning
the Cooling Zone Tray
1. Remove the diffuser plate from the Cooling Zone to expose the tray below.
2. Spray denatured alcohol or an appropriate flux solvent into the tray. If a stan-
dard mesh belt conveyor is installed, it is not necessary to remove it before
spraying unless it is desired to wipe out the tray.
3. Allow time for residue to dissolve in the tray.
4. Access the drain plug from the rear of the machine by removing the Unload
End rear lower panel. Refer to Figure 5–16. The plug is situated in the center
of the tray. Refer to Figure 5–17.
5. Place a bucket under the plug and open the drain by unscrewing the brass fit-
ting.
6. Spray the trays with clean water to rinse any accumulation away.
7. Dispose of the cleaning solvent and water in an approved manner.
8. Close the drain by tightening the brass fittings. Use a thread sealant to ensure
seal.
