d) Displaying the Barometric Pressure Development
The historical development of the barometric pressure over the last 24 hours can be
graphically displayed.
If the barometric pressure value is displayed at the bottom of the display, press the "MENU"
button.
Use the "
" and/or "
" buttons to select the corresponding function for graphic display of
the barometric pressure development and confirm with the "ENTER" button.
The display now shows the development of the barometric pressure over the last 24 hours
(when the product is first operated there are no measured values available).
The device measures the barometric pressure every 30 minutes even when it
is switched off. Every point in the graphic display indicates one of these
measured values over the last 24 hours (on the right hand edge is the current
barometric pressure).
The horizontal axis indicates time, the vertical axis indicates the change in
barometric pressure (each line indicates a change of 1 hPa).
Press the "CANCEL" button to return to the barometric pressure and temperature display.
e) Weather Forecast
As a special feature, weather forecast symbols can be activated in the display.
The weather forecast is made on the basis of the measurement and observation of the
barometric pressure over the past hours, this can obtain an accuracy of about 70%.
If the barometric pressure value is displayed at the bottom of the display, press the "MENU"
button.
Use the "
" and/or "
" buttons to select the weather forecast function and confirm with the
"ENTER" button.
The display now shows the weather forecast via a graphic symbol in the display.
Press the "CANCEL" button to return to the barometric pressure and temperature display.
Please note:
The display does not represent the current weather conditions but it is a forecast of the next
12 to 24 hours.
The calculation is based solely on observation of changes in barometric pressure, thus the
actual weather on the following day may be quite different. As the measured barometric
pressure is only valid for a region with a diameter of approx. 50 km, the weather may change
quickly. This is especially true in hilly or mountainous locations.
