11. Basic Functions

• Switching on

Hold down the "MODE" button for approx. three seconds. A tone is emitted and the display
is activated.

• Switching off

Hold down the "MODE" button for approx. three seconds. A tone is emitted and the display
and then the device is switched off.
In order to save energy and increase battery life, the device is automatically switched off after
approx. 5 minutes if no button is pushed.

• Display lighting

Briefly press the "BACKLIGHT" button, this activates the display lighting for approx. 5
seconds.

• Key confirmation tone

If the time is shown in the display, then the "CANCEL" button can be used to switch the
confirmation tone on and off.

12. Setting the Menu Language

English, German, French, Italian and French are available as languages for texts in the
display.
• First use the "MODE" button to switch to the time display (not the world time display!).
• Then press the "MENU" button briefly and the current language will be displayed (e.g.

"ENGLISH?").

• Use the "

" and/or "

" buttons to select the desired menu language.

• Confirm your selection by pressing the "ENTER" button.
