7. Assembly, connection and initial operation
Find a suitable place for mounting from which the area to be monitored can be
observed.
A suitable place for installation of this camera has the following features:
• Vibration-free
• No direct sunlight
• Dry indoor conditions

Select a place for mounting which is not shielded by, for exam-
ple, reinforced concrete walls, steamed up mirrors or metal
shelves. There should be no devices with strong electrical
fields, such as mobile telephones, radios or electrical motors,
close to the device. This may interfere with radio transmission
or restrict the range. Heat sources may also lead to malfunc-
tioning or defects.
Do not point the camera directly toward bright sunlight or
toward strong or direct light sources as this may lead to overex-
posure.
All the connecting cables must not be bent or squeezed. This
can result in malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the
device.
The enclosed system components are only approved for opera-
tion in dry, closed indoor rooms.
