5. Notes on batteries and rechargeable batteries
• Keep batteries and rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable bat-
teries (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
• Do not leave the batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around openly; there is a
risk of them being swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries might cause acid burns
when getting into contact with skin, therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
• Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into
fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge
rechargeable batteries which are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery
charger.
• Remove the batteries when you do not use the device over a period of time (e.g.
when stored). Old batteries might leak and consequently damage the product.
Warranty will be void!
• For environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries,
please read the chapter “Disposal”.
