IMPORTANT BASIC INFORMATION
1.1
SCOPE OF DELIVERY
The scope of delivery of the Conel Flow Rain-Champion includes:
• a compact, ready-to-connect Rain-Champion to control the water supply with rainwater or the
needs-based drinking water replenishment in accordance with [EN DIN 1717] to protect the drin-
king water installation against „recontamination, backflow and mixing by contaminated water with a
safety device of type AB of liquid category 5 (*);
- a feed container made of MDPE plastic (18 liters nominal volume - 5 liters usable volume) with
free outlet type AB according to [DIN EN 13077];
- Proportionally controlled drinking water make-up valve DN17 according to KTW / DVGW-
W270 certification;
- a multi-stage self-priming centrifugal pump;
- an electronic automatic pump switch with integrated pressure gauge, non-return valve and water
hammer damper;
- a motor-driven changeover valve (hereinafter referred to as zone valve);
- a level sensor with a 20 m connection cable for monitoring the water level in the storage tank;
- a distribution box for connecting the electrical supply and control lines;
- a wall mounting including mounting material;
• Original operating instructions.
Definition of terms (*):
Fluid categories:
Within DIN EN 1717, liquids that are or may come into contact with drinking water are divided into
five liquid categories. These are defined as follows:
01 Water for human consumption that is taken directly from a drinking water installation.
02 Liquid that does not pose a risk to human health. Liquids that are suitable for human consumption,
including water from a drinking water installation, which may have a change in taste, smell, color or
temperature (heating or cooling).
03 Liquid that represents a health hazard due to the presence of one or more toxic or particularly toxic
substances.
04 Liquid that poses a health hazard for people due to the presence of one or more toxic or particularly
toxic substances or one or more radioactive, mutagenic or carcinogenic substances.
05 Liquid that poses a health hazard to humans due to the presence of microbial or viral agents of
communicable diseases.
1.2
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.2.1
Responsibilities of the manufacturer
LIABILITY: The manufacturer is not liable for the defective function of the Conel Flow Rain-Champion
or for any damage it may cause if it has been tampered with, changed or operated beyond the recom-
mended area of use or contrary to the instructions contained in these original operating instructions. In
addition, no liability is accepted for any transmission or printing errors contained in these operating ins-
tructions. The manufacturer reserves the right to make any necessary or useful changes to the products
without affecting the essential characteristics.
1.2.2
Responsibilities of the operator
• The operating instructions must be read by the responsible specialist / operator before any work on
and in connection with the Conel Flow Rain-Champion and must be fully understood.
• The contents of the operating instructions must be available on site at all times;
• Notes attached directly to the Conel Flow Rain-Champion must be observed and kept in a completely
legible condition;

The operator is responsible for compliance with location-specific provisions not taken into account in
the operating instructions;
