REPLACING SERIAL PORT CORD (REPAIR)
The serial port cord connects to the circuit board to the external serial port connector of the unit. If it is necessary to change the serial
port cord on the CONCOA Medical IntelliSwitch, follow these steps:
1.
UNPLUG UNIT!
2.
Open door by loosening the four screws holding it to the cabinet.
3.
Locate the serial port cord at the bottom of the system, see figure 31 – item 2.
4.
Remove 9 pin serial port connector nut, see figure 37, from the outside and slide off the connector cap.
5.
Remove serial port cord connector from circuit board, see figure 33, on inside of door.

Remove serial port cord nut from new cord, see figure 32 – item 3.
7.
Insert the new 9 pin serial port connector through the hole in the enclosure. Slip on the connector cap, then thread and
wrench tighten serial port connector nut onto the new 9 pin serial port connector, see figure 37.
8.
Re-attach new serial port cord connector to circuit board, see figure 33.
9.
Close front door and re-secure it to the cabinet.
10.
Re-apply AC power to the system.
