Automatic Server Recovery-2

Automatic Server Recovery-2 (ASR-2) enables the server node to boot
automatically from either the operating system or the Compaq Utilities. If
there is a critical system failure, ASR-2 automatically restarts the server node
and pages a designated system administrator.

Compaq Integrated Remote Console

The standard Compaq Integrated Remote Console (IRC) performs a wide
range of configuration activities. The IRC:

■

Is accessible using an ANSI terminal

■

Operates independently of the operating system

■

Provides for remote server node reboot

■

Provides access to system configuration

■

Uses out-of-band communication with a dedicated management modem
installed in the server nodes
