State Activity

Having configured the LACP aggregator on the 

Aggregator Setting

 tab, you may want to change 

the state activity for the members of the LACP trunk group. You can select/unselect the checkbox 
beside the state label. If you remove the select mark of the corresponding port and select the 

Apply

 button, the port state activity will change to Passive.

 

»

Active

: The port automatically sends LACP protocol packets.

 

»

 Passive

: The port does not actively send LACP protocol packets. It responds only if it receives 

LACP protocol packets from the opposite device.

Note     A link having two passive LACP nodes will not perform dynamic LACP trunk because both 

ports are waiting for an LACP protocol packet from the opposite device.
