4.4.2 DDNS
This menu is used to configure DDNS settings. DDNS provides a static address to simplify the remote
connection with the NVR. To use DDNS, at first, you need to open an account on the web page of the
DDNS service provider.
DDNS
: Check to enable DDNS.
Server
: Choose your preferred DDNS server (DDNS_3322
,
DYNDNS
,
NO_IP
,
CHANGEIP
,
DNSEXIT).
Domain
: Enter the domain name you created on the webpage of the DDNS service provider. This is
the address you type in the URL box when you want to connect to the NVR remotely via a PC.
User/Password
: Enter the username and password you obtained when creating an account on the
webpage of the DDNS service provider.
After entering all the parameters, click "
Test DDNS
" to test the DDNS settings. If the test result is
"Network unreachable or DNS error", please check whether the network is normal or whether the
DDNS information is correct.
After the user has applied for the dynamic domain name service, the browser can be used to remotely
access the NVR through the domain name, the domain name in the form of “http://”: the mapped web
port number. When using the DDNS domain name to access the NVR, you need to confirm the port
and the current IP can be connected normally on the public network, and the server address/host
name/user name/password/settings are consistent with the settings on the NVR side.
