General safety instructions
Note:
Switch off the engine before all servicing, adjusting and cleaning the grass trimmer.
1. Wear protective footwear, tight-fitting clothes and safety glasses/visor, ear defenders
and a helmet.
2. Never use the grass trimmer if you are tired, sick, upset or under the influence of
alcohol or medication which may cause drowsiness.
3. Always be careful when handling fuel. Open the fuel tank carefully and release any
pressure which might have built up in the tank. Wipe off any spilt fuel and move
the grass trimmer to a safe location, at least 3 metres away from the refuelling
location, before starting.
4. Remove any sources of ignition, sparks, open flames, lit cigarettes, etc. from
the area where the fuel is mixed, used or stored.
The operational noise level complies with EC Directive 97/98EC and
2004/26EC, Annex IV.
Before start, press the primer 6 times until fuel
begins flowing through the return hose situated
between the carburettor and fuel tank.
Only use trimmer heads recommended by
the manufacturer or retailer. Only use trimmer line
which has a diameter of 2 mm (0.0079
″
) Never
use a brush cutter blade on this model. The
trimmer head will continue to rotate even after
the engine has been turned off.

Warning:
Hot surface. Do not touch.
Keep children, pets and bystanders at a safe distance of at least 15 m from
the area where the grass trimmer is intended to be used. Switch the grass
trimmer off immediately if anyone comes within the 15 m safety zone.
A noise level of 108 dB is reached during use.
