Starting the Engine
Note:
Pull the starter handle straight out. If you pull at an angle the starter cord will rub
on the sleeve and wear out prematurely. Keep hold of the starting handle after pulling
it and allow it to return slowly. Never release the starter handle completely at full length
since it can become entangled and the backlash can break something on the trimmer.

Starting a cold engine
Cut the trimmer line to a length of 13 cm before starting
to reduce the load while the trimmer warms up.
1. Place the grass trimmer on a level surface.
2. Set the on/off switch to position

3. Set the choke lever (14) to cold start mode (upwards).

4. Press the primer pump (16) 6 times.
5. Hold the upper handle firmly.
6. Pull the starter handle until you feel some resistance (approx. 100 mm).
Pull the starter handle quickly and smoothly until the engine starts or up to 4 times.
7. Set the choke lever to the open position (downwards) as soon as the engine starts.
