5. Do not smoke while refuelling or using the grass trimmer.
6. Follow all fire safety regulations. It is the user’s responsibility to inform themselves
of all local and national fire safety regulations.
7. Always hold the grass trimmer’s handles with a firm grip once started, with your fingers
gripping one side and your thumbs gripping the opposing side of the handles.
8. Do not touch the trimmer line whilst it is rotating.
9. Keep all body parts and clothing away from the trimmer line when the engine is running.
Make sure that the trimmer line is not in contact with any object before starting.
10. Only transport the trimmer with the engine switched off.
11. Always inspect the grass trimmer before starting, do not start it if there are worn,
damaged or missing parts. Never use the brush cutter/grass trimmer if it is
damaged, incorrectly adjusted or incorrectly assembled.
12. All service other than that mentioned in this instruction manual should be carried
out by qualified personnel.
13. Always turn off the grass trimmer whenever setting it onto the ground or during transport.
14. Be extra vigilant when cutting small bushes or thick grass, as these can get stuck
in the trimmer head.
15. Keep the handles clean, dry and free from oil and fuel.
16. Only use the trimmer outdoors or in well ventilated areas. Never start the trimmer
in closed rooms or buildings. Exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide and are
dangerous to inhale.
17. Avoid moving the trimmer head close to small objects which can be violently propelled
outwards. Check that there are no small stones, glass shards, etc. in the trim area
before starting work.
18. Always stand below the level of the trimmer if you are using it on a slope.
NEVER use the trimmer on a slope if there is the slightest risk of you losing your
footing, falling or sliding. Always keep hold of both handles.
19. Keep the grass trimmer free from grass cuttings and other deposits, particularly
the guard, trimmer head and engine.
20. Only use two-stroke engine fuel with a mixture of 3 % good quality two-stroke oil
(32:1) intended for air-cooled two-stroke engines. Using petrol without oil mixed in
will cause engine damage that is not covered by the guarantee.
21. Do not use the grass trimmer without the silencer and silencer cover.
22. Hold both handles of the grass trimmer firmly, with your fingers on one side of each
handle and thumb on the other.
23. The silencer can become very hot, do not touch it with your hands or other parts
of your body.
24. The trimmer head must not be raised during use as it can injure the operator.
Work as close to the ground as possible.
25. The grass trimmer must not be used for any other purpose than for clearing
undergrowth, trimming lawns and garden work.
