Disk Management
View total and used disk space, edit disk property, and format disks. Make sure the disks are
correctly installed before you start. Only admin can edit disk property and format a disk.
1.
Click
Menu
>
Storage
>
Hard Disk
.
2.
Set disk properties: Click
and then select
Read/Write
,
Read Only
, or
Redundant
as needed.
3.
Format a hard disk to erase all data on it: Click
for the disk and then confirm to proceed. To
format multiple disks at a time, select the disks and then click
Format
.
NOTE!
The NVR can automatically format newly installed hard disks.
A disk set as redundant cannot be used to configure a disk group.
The
Redundant
property is available only to some NVR models.
Disk Group
Group hard disks and save recordings and snapshots in a disk group.

Enable Disk Group
, click
for the desired disk, and then select a disk group that the
disk will belong to.
