4. To change the ALARM (heart rate alarm) setting, you will have to repeat
steps 1–3 to select your desired setting:
ON
or
OFF
.
Example:
You enter: 42 yrs > Man > Level 2 > HI (displays 126) > LO (displays 99)
> kg > Alarm ON. Using these settings as reference the alarm will activate
any time your pulse is below 99 or above 126. If you feel these values are
incorrect: Redo the settings and enter your own personal HI and/or LO settings.

Preparations before training

[ ST/STP ]
[ MODE ]
3. Press the [ MODE ] button several times until
“HRM” appears on the display.
4. Press the [ ST/STP ] button to establish
a connection with the chest strap and start
your training routine. Your running exercise
time will be displayed on the upper portion
of the watch. Current heart rate will also be
displayed and all data will be saved once
you have begun training. Press [ ST/STP ]
again if you want to pause your training.
Your running time will also pause at this point.
5. The watch receives signals from the chest
strap automatically and your current heart
rate will be shown.
- If the watch flashes showing three dashes,
it indicates that the watch is trying to
establish contact with your chest strap.
- If contact is not established, the three
dashes will become static. This could be
caused by the watch being too far away
from the chest strap. The max rated
range is 80 cm.
Note:
Once the three dashes become static, decreasing the distance
between watch and chest strap will not restart the watch. You must
manually press [ ST/STP ] to start/stop the heart rate monitor again.
