Input
commands
entered
at
the console
terminal
provide
instructions
to
the
HyperSwitch
A100
which
is
connected
to
the
console
terminal
via
the
EIAJTIA-232
interface
Commands
for
the
HyperSwitch
A100
comprise
user
commands
and
privileged
commands
groups
to
prevent
system
data
and
network-related
data
from
being
changed
by
unauthorized
individuals
User
commands
display
configuration
data
for reference
Privileged
commands
display
and
configure
system data
Privileged
commands
intended
for use
by
operation
and maintenance
personnel
can
execute
only
after
password
verification
The
user
mode
makes
only user
commands
available
the privileged
mode
makes
privileged
commands
available
in
addition
to
user
commands
The
HyperSwitch
A100
is
in the user
mode when
power
is
turned
ON
The
enable
command
which
requires
registered
password
entry
transfers
the
system from
user
mode
to
the privileged
mode
The
exit
command
returns
the
system
to
user
mode
The
prompt
character
that
displays
on
the console
terminal
screen
indicates
either
the
normal
or
privileged
mode
If
the
host
name
is
registered
for
the
system
it
displays
before
the
prompt
