to
upgrade
software
stored
in Flash read-only
memory
FROM
This
procedure
uses
standard
protocols
BOOTP
and
TFTP
and
new
software
installed
from
server
workstation
through
the Ethernet
interface
Required
Equipment
for
Upgrading
Software
Have
the following
equipment
available
when
upgrading
the
software
The
server
workstation
that
contains
new
software
files
The
HyperSwitch
A100
and
the console
terminal
An
Ethernet
cable

This
procedure
assumes
that
the server workstation
and
console
terminal
and
the
HyperSwitch

are properly
installed
and
configured
For

Upgrading
Software
Perform
the following
procedure
to
upgrade
software
Step
At
the server workstation
register
the
target
IP address
and
host
name
in
/etc/hosts
For example

Register
the
target
hardware
address
in/etc/ethers

of the address

the
serial
number
written
on
the surface

PROC

of the
serial

digits

hardware
address
