Play Lists
Add an Intermission to a Play List
When an intermission automation event is encountered during playback, the main feature pauses at
the intermission event and the intermission play list plays. When intermission playback finishes,
playback of the main feature resumes.
1. Create an intermission play list and add the content you want to play during the intermission.
2. Tap Menu > Christie IMB > Play Lists.
3. Select the play list with the content you want to play during the intermission in the Selected
Play List list.
4. Tap the Automation tab.
5. Tap content in the time line. The time line appears at the bottom of the Play List window.
6. Select Intermissions in the Show me list.
7. Tap Insert.
8. Select Intermission in the Cue list.
9. Tap Edit Details.
10. Complete these fields:
11. Tap Accept.
12. Select From Clip Start in the Offset From area.
13. Select a time offset in the Offset area.
Typically, an intermission runs in the middle of a feature. For example, to add an intermission in
the middle of a feature running 2 hours and 30 minutes, you enter 1 in the Hours field and 15 in
the Minutes field.
The time offset must occur 60 seconds from the start or the end of a feature. If you enter a lower
time offset value, an error message appears in the Edit Playlist Item window.
14. Tap Save.
15. Tap Save Changes in the Play List Tasks list.
A black triangle appears in the time line to indicate that automation is defined for the content.
The time line appears at the bottom of the Play List window.
i
• You cannot insert an intermission between clips.
• An error message appears in the Edit Playlist Item window before you adjust the offset
time for the intermission. To remove this message, enter a correct offset time.
