Manage Audio Settings
To set your audio settings, complete these tasks:
• Enter a name for each speaker, and then associate it with a specific AES output. See
• Map the channel output to a specific speaker. See
Map Speakers
1. Verify the digital cinema audio processor is connected to the AES3 port on the Christie IMB.
2. Tap Menu > Christie IMB > System.
3. Tap Audio > Speaker Mapping.
4. Complete the fields in the AES Output area. This is an example of speaker mapping for a Dolby
7.1 DS configuration:

Map Channels
You use the Channel Mapping window to map the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) audio channels to the
AES outputs. Although you can select a number of options in the Mapping list, Interop is the most

The DCP determines the audio mapping setting. Typically, Interop is the setting that you select. The
other channel mapping settings are applied when the Society of Motion Picture and Television
Engineers (SMPTE) DCP is used.
