MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
To prevent injury or death due to electrical shock or contact with moving parts,
dis able the unit us ing the dis connect before s ervicing.
Inspect Filter:
Es tablis h a regular maintenance s chedule. Clean filter frequently and replace as
required. A vacuum can be us ed to clean the filter as well as the s urface of the coil.
To remove the filter, lift it up and out of the retaining lip located towards the bottom
of the unit. Replace the old filter by sliding the top edge of a new filter up into the
rack, then pus hing it in behind the retaining lip at the bottom of the unit where it will
drop into place.
Check Fan Motors Annually:
All CGC Hybrid Heat Pumps are permanently lubricated when s hipped from the factory.
Do not oil or lubricate the fan motors.
Visual Inspection:
Vis ually ins pect units and give s pecial attention to hos e as s emblies . Address any
s igns of deterioration or cracking and repair leaks immediately.
Amperage Check on Compressor and Fan Motor:
Check that all electrical connects are tight. Current draw on this equipment s hould
not exceed normal full load or rated load amps by more than 10 percent of the values
noted on the unit nameplate.
Safety
Control Reset:
All CGC hybrid heat pumps include high and low pres s ure s witches to prevent the unit
from operating under abnormal and potentially harmful conditions . If multiple
press ure alarms occur within a 24-hour period, the compres s or operation will be
permanently locked out until the unit is reset or power is dis connected for 20
s econds .
