CAUTIONARY INFORMATION
EDM 930 Secondary Alerts

Secondary Alerts indicate important operational information that is not related to a
published engine limitation. Secondary Alerts are of a cautionary nature and are intended to
enhance the pilot’s situational awareness. As such, it is important not to become distracted by
an alert, to maintain control of the aircraft, and then deal with the alarm when aircraft control will
not be jeopardized.

Based on the nature of the problem, Secondary Alerts should be handled in accordance
with the procedures detailed in Figure 3-1.
